NICC Community Clubs

We’re excited to share some big news.

After months of planning, NICC is officially launching NICC Community Clubs – a year-round program of clubs and activities designed to enrich our community, connect generations, and make full use of our beautiful centre.

The initial idea was introduced in June by Jitesh Shah, NICC’s marketing consultant. Since then, Jitesh has been working diligently with the NICC management team to turn that concept into a real, practical program. We are now ready to begin and your participation will decide how successful this becomes.

What are NICC Community Clubs?

Over the coming year, NICC will host regular club sessions in areas like:

• Active living, yoga, sports & wellness
• Arts, crafts, music, dance & culture
• Food, brunch, chai & social circles
• Kids, youth, seniors & family activities
• Learning, entrepreneurship, civic engagement & more

The goal is simple: more life, more learning, more community at NICC and not just on festival days, but week after week.

Very affordable with as little as ~$4.50 per entry!

We’ve kept pricing as low as possible so that everyone can join:

• With Family30 passes, the cost works out to as little as about $4.50 per entry.
• There are also other flexible pass options for individuals and smaller households.

For the price of a cup of chai or coffee, you can give your family and yourself a full evening or weekend session of connection, learning and fun.

Why we need YOU for a year

This first year is crucial.

If enough members buy passes and attend regularly, we can:

• Run 200+ sessions per year across all clubs
• Offer better quality programs with the help of volunteers and instructors
• Show funders and partners that NICC is a truly active community hub
• Build something lasting for our children, youth, seniors and newcomers

But without strong participation from our own membership, it will be hard to sustain these clubs.

So this is an earnest request:

If you believe in NICC, in GMC, in CICCA, and in the idea of a stronger Indo-Canadian community in Calgary, please support this program by purchasing your club passes now and encouraging family and friends to do the same.

How to join

1. Review detailed information about the NICC Community Clubs.
2. Buy your NICC Community Club Pass.
3. Share this with at least 3 people in your circle and invite them to join.
4. Show up and pick the clubs and sessions that interest you and start attending regularly.

Every pass purchased and every session attended is a clear vote of confidence in NICC’s future.
